Q: How can I contact the Cabinet Division?

A: The Cabinet Division is made up of individual wings which deal with different areas of work. The Contacts Division gives details of officers of the Cabinet Division as well as Feedback/suggestions   you want to send to Cabinet Division if any.

Q: Who are the members of the Cabinet?

A: The Ministerial Section maintains the list  of Federal Ministers, Ministers of State, Advisers/Special Assistants to the Prime Minister and Dignitaries with the status of Federal Minister/ Minister of State.

Q: Where can I get the list of Ministries/Divisions?

A: The Federal Government constitutes 41 Ministries and 45 Divisions each headed by a Federal Minister and or Minister of State.

Q: What information can I access under the Freedom of Information Act?

A: Under the Freedom of Information Ordinance No. XCVI of 2002, Cabinet Division issued Freedom of Information Rules and Form to obtain a photocopy of public record.

Q: What is Archives?

A: At your home when you have accumulated a lot of important record like your degree, certificates, marriage certificate, deeds, contracts, manuscripts and rare books, a time comes when you start thinking of the safe custody of this record. It is at this point that Archives has a meaning for you.
An archive is a place where you can deposit all your and your inherited important record for safe custody and future retention.

Q: Will I be able to see my record if I need to?

A: Ans. The record will be placed in the NAP under your name and you will have full right to extract information from it or obtain the desired copies. addresses:

Q: How do I approach NAP?

A: just call at 051-9202044, or visit NAP in person. It is situated adjacent to the Pak. Secretariat blocks. (Block ?N? Pak. Sectt. Islamabad)

Q: Who is eligible to use Archives?

A: Ans. All citizens of Pakistan are eligible. For foreigners NOC from the M/O Interior is required.

Q: Do I have to pay any amount for consulting Archives?

A: Ans. To register yourself for consultation you will pay only Rs 20/-. However to acquire copies of documents or microfilms some nominal charges are payable

Q: Will NAP buy my record?

A: Yes, it will but after the approval of a review and accessing committee.

Q: How many holdings you have acquired/preserved?
