Subject:- TRANINING WORKSHOP ON TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT(TQM)
Dear,
Management Services Wing of the Establishment Division, under the Rules of Business, is required to provide a broad spectrum Management Consultancy Services to the Public Sector Organizations. Besides, the Wing is also required to train Government functionaries in Modern Management Techniques in order to enhance their managerial skills and capabilities. In line with its charter of duties, the Management Services Wing is organizing a three days TRAINING WORKSHOP ON TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT under its Managerial Effectiveness Program from 7-9 April, 2008 for BS-19-20 and equivalent officers from the Federal and Provincial Governments including the Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJ&K) and Northern Areas Administration as well as the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
2. This Training Workshop is being conducted in collaboration with the National Productivity Organization (NPO) of the Ministry of Industries, Production & Special Initiative as well as the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad, with the aim to help the officers serving in any area of Management as well as those in the "QUALITY MANAGEMENT a more significant contributor to the strategic success of their organizations.
3. The Workshop program is enclosed. This Training Workshop has been designed
from the angle of practical applications of the TQM in the Public Sector of Pakistan. In this connection, besides Tools and Techniques of TQM, Pakistan Steel and Islamabad Police would be presented as the application models and the participants shall have a chance of participating in making a TQM application Model for the "Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences" (PIMS). It would be appreciated if such officers are nominated for the Course who could subsequently act as Master Trainers/Resource Persons, on the subject. The participants of the Workshop shall have to make their own arrangements for boarding/lodging etc.
4. The Workshop shall (INSHAALLAH) be held at MCH Training Center of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) G-8/4, Islamabad from 9 AM to 4 PM daily.

5. The Workshop
fee is Rs.3000/- (Rupees three thousand only) per participant which is
payable through cross cheque, bank draft or pay order drawn in favour of
Drawing & Disbursing Officer (DDO) of Management Services Wing,
Establishment Division, Islamabad. However, nominees of the Organizations
being paid from the Federal Consolidated Fund are exempt from the payment of
the Course Fee.
6. The nominations on the
prescribed form attached herewith, ( the
form can also be downloaded from our website http://www.Establishment.gov.pk)
may be forwarded to this office latest by , March 20, 2008. Since the number of seats are limited,
nominees may please be directed to report for the workshop only after
confirmation of their nominations from this office.
