A Task Force has been set up by the Prime Minister under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman Planning Commission to provide intellectual leadership and overall policy guidance on National Trade Corridor Implementation Program (NTCIP). The Task Force includes the Ministries of Commerce, Railways, Communications, Ports & Shipping, Defense, and Industries & Production. Other members are Central Board of Revenue (CBR), National Highway Authority (NHA), Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), as well as the development partners (World Bank, Asian Development Bank and JBIC). Quarterly meetings chaired by the Prime Minister are organized to monitor progress and take decisions to facilitate implementation of NTCIP.
